Vincent "Paparazzi" Simmons

Native to New Orleans , member since Spring 2005. Learned to ride in the late 70's on a Honda XL70 trail bike, I was hooked ever since. Looking out for my best interest, my parents were not receptive of me having my own bike, however I continued to ride. Finally in early 1992, pre-marrage, I purchased my first motorcycle, 1986 Kawasaki Ninja 1000R. After getting the speed off my chest I purchased my second motorcycle, 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic. It was this bike that allowed me to really enjoy the road. I made several trips on this motorcycle; the most memorable was the 2003 National Bikers Roundup in Atlanta , GA (10 days and 1,700 miles). Both motorcycles were lost during Hurricane Katrina. After a two year break I settled into the saddle of a 2007 Harley Davidson Street Glide.

Being introduced to the Hurricane Riders was a good fit for me. Since becoming a member I've enjoyed the various gatherings and trips. Always armed with camera in hand, I was named "Paparazzi" by the club. Since joining I have captured thousands of memorable moments of our members and friends. I am looking forward to hitting the road with the club on future rides and events.

Besides riding, I enjoy spending quality time with the family, traveling, bicycling, tennis, golf and of course photography. I am also a private pilot and a member of the Black Pilots of America, New Orleans Chapter.
